1. METROLOGIST
MECHANICAL METROLOGY SECTION
NATIONAL METROLOGY LABORATORY
(PLACEMENT: SEPANG, SELANGOR)
Responsibilities:
• Undertake the technical activities relating to the provision of calibration and measurement services.
• To participate in or undertake as directed the evaluation of measuring instruments for trade and verification of instruments used in legal enforcement.
• To prepare and document appropriate calibration and measurement standards maintenance procedures within quality management system and assist in the maintenance of the system and working standards.
• To assist in the coordination of laboratory proficiency testing programmes for accredited laboratories and participate in similar programmes organised regionally at the appropriate levels.
• To assist in the development of new and upgrading of existing standards and facilities to meet the measurement needs of the country.
• To participate in relevant collaborative research activities undertaken by the laboratory
Requirement:
• Possess a minimum basic degree in Science (Physics) or Engineering (Mechanical /Electrical / Manufacturing).
• Have knowledge on the measurement and calibration and quality management system ISO/IEC 17025.
• Good knowledge on Microsoft Office
